Prime Minister Mark Carney said Iran “must never be allowed to obtain or develop nuclear weapons” after the United States and Israel launched major strikes on Iranian targets Saturday.

Carney said Canada supports U.S. action to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself.
