Statistics Canada has released preliminary numbers that show Canada’s economy stalled in November 2025 and may have contracted in the final quarter of the year. Growth in services was offset by weakness in goods-producing industries. CBC News senior business reporter Peter Armstrong says the ‘overwhelming’ cause was Canada’s trade war with the U.S., but there are also ‘other factors at play.’
