Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trade mission in India shifted to the nation’s capital, New Delhi, on Sunday, after spending a few days in Mumbai.

Marking potentially the most important day of his trip, Carney was expected to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss a variety of geopolitical issues.

The visit, however, has been overshadowed by fighting in the Middle East and the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Though the Liberals were quiet about the violence Sunday, Carney commended the U.S.-Israeli actions in Iran the day prior. Global’s Mackenzie Gray reports.
