People across B.C.’s south coast were surprised by a bright light over the sky on Wednesday night – a flash that was followed by a house-rattling boom.

The mystery object — determined to be a meteor by experts — flew in so fast, it caused a sonic boom.

As Global’s Andrea Macpherson reports, the meteor is believed to have made an impact somewhere in the province’s lower mainland.
