Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is navigating difficult political waters from within her own province. Smith is facing pushback from members of the United Conservative Party (UCP) for agreeing to work with Prime Minister Mark Carney on building a new pipeline.
As Heather Yourex-West explains, Smith is also taking heat from angry constituents, who have started recall petitions against her and other UCP MLAs.
