On the Turkish side of Iran’s border, Iranians fleeing the country are bringing with them stories of horror on the inside.

Hundreds of Iranians who have the necessary paperwork to leave the country are doing just that, with suitcases in tow. Iran has cut off the Internet along with telephone service, leaving border crossings as a rare glimpse into what is happening inside.

Residents say the death of the supreme leader is being quietly celebrated.
