Don Lemon to appear in LA court: Live outside court

From USA TODAY.

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon was arrested by federal agents on Jan. 29 weeks after covering immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota, his lawyer said in a statement.

"Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles last night, where he was covering the Grammy Awards," said the statement, which was posted on Lemon’s Instagram. "Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done."

The statement did not provide information about the charges Lemon is facing.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed Lemon’s arrest in a post on X and said the charges stem from his involvement covering a protest inside a Minnesota church on Jan. 18. Another journalist, Georgia Fort, and political activists Trahern Jeen Crews and Jamael Lydell Lundy were also arrested, Bondi said.
