Epstein files: US DOJ begins releasing documents under law signed by Trump

From Global News.

After months of anticipation and occasional releases of smaller batches of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the U.S. Department of Justice made public a massive trove of documents known as the Epstein files.

Among the thousands of records released Friday are photos, call logs, grand jury testimony and interview transcripts, though many of the documents were redacted and at least some are already in the public domain.

The DOJ admitted hundreds of thousands more files would take time to be released, raising questions about what happens when America’s top law enforcement agency fails to follow the law.

Reggie Cecchini reports.
