Loud explosions are heard in Beirut as Lebanese state media reports strikes on the capital’s southern suburbs after the Israeli military said it struck 70 Hezbollah targets. Israel began bombarding Beirut’s southern suburbs and dozens of villages in south Lebanon, vowing to make Hezbollah pay a "heavy price" and killing at least 31 people and wounding at least 149 according to the Lebanese health ministry.
