A federal workplace incident report is examining gaps in the RCMP’s response to the deadly Nova Scotia shooting that killed 22 people in April 2020. RCMP Const. Heidi Stevenson was among the 22 people killed and her colleague, Const. Chad Morrison, was wounded. The report, which was made public today, condemned the RCMP’s failures in its response to the mass shooting and called for dramatic reforms after the worst mass shooting in Canadian history.
