In this remarkable episode of Face To Face, Christian Weißgerber, a former Neo-Nazi comes face to face with Stephen Kapos, a child survivor of the Holocaust.

Born in East Germany, Christian describes how his upbringing, identity struggles and exposure to historical revisionism led him down a path of radicalisation. Christian became a prominent figure within the German far-right movement, and at the height of his extremism, denied the true scale of the Holocaust.

Stephen grew up in Hungary during the Second World War and was just seven years old when Nazi occupation began. Whilst many of his own family were deported and murdered in concentration camps, Stephen survived by going into hiding, narrowly escaping capture and certain death.

In their powerful conversation, a survivor and former extremist confront the legacy of Nazi Germany, de-radicalisation and the dangers of far-right ideology.
