From Global News.
The family of Virginia Giuffre on Thursday said they felt "vindicated" after King Charles’ younger brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office over allegations he sent confidential government documents to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"The first gut reaction is like just celebration for her," Giuffre’s brother Sky Roberts said, "And, you know I just started crying in the middle of breakfast."
Giuffre, who died by suicide in May 2025, settled a lawsuit in 2022 in which she accused the former Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her as a teenager at Epstein’s mansion in New York and on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St. James.
Mountbatten-Windsor, who turned 66 on Thursday, was arrested and questioned by detectives from Thames Valley Police. Earlier this month, the police force said it was looking into allegations that he had passed documents to Epstein while working as a trade envoy.
The arrest of the senior royal, eighth in line to the throne, is unprecedented in modern times.
