Gunmen kill at least 30, kidnap others in Nigerian village

From PBS NewsHour.

Gunmen killed at least 30 people and abducted several others from a small Nigerian village over the weekend. The attackers stormed the village, opened fire on residents and razed the local market and houses.

The assault occurred in the northern part of the country, near the area where 300 school children were kidnapped in November. Armed rogue gangs in Nigeria often target remote communities that don’t have extensive security or government presence.
