Christy Mady, a Canadian teacher who lives north of Beirut, says she does not plan to leave the country yet. She told CBC News she is committed to finishing the semester for her students despite ongoing Israeli attacks. ‘From my house, because it’s in the mountains, I can actually see Beirut and I can see the explosions happening,’ she says, but doesn’t feel she is in immediate danger.
