Impact of US strikes on ISIS in Syria will be “minimal,” expert says

The U.S. conducted multiple airstrikes against dozens of Islamic State targets in Syria Friday in retaliation for an attack on U.S. personnel.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the strikes targeted “ISIS fighters, infrastructure, and weapons sites.”

“This is not the beginning of a war – it is a declaration of vengeance,” he said.

As Nathaniel Dove reports, the operation has put a spotlight back on the notorious terror group – which appears to be mounting a comeback.
