It’s day five of the US-Israel war with Iran as US–Israeli air strikes have continued across Iran and residents in Tehran describe an empty, unsettled capital. The Pentagon has released footage of a US submarine sinking an Iranian warship, with Sri Lankan authorities saying 80 bodies have so far been found.

US military leaders warn operations will move progressively deeper into Iranian territory, while Iran says it had no choice but to respond to the US and Israel’s joint operation. Israel says it has intercepted new missiles launched from Iran and a three-day funeral ceremony for Iran’s ex-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been postponed.
