From Global News.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday blamed U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for stoking recent protests which swept the country.
"Whether Trump, whether Netanyahu, whether the Europeans, all of them sought to provoke, create division and arm," said Pezeshkian.
"Everyone knows the issue was not only a social protest. They rode on our problems, provoked, and they were seeking and are seeking to tear society to pieces," he added.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to intervene if Iran continued to kill protesters, but the countrywide demonstrations over economic privations and political repression have since abated.
