The Israeli military said it launched airstrikes and artillery fire at southern Gaza on Sunday, despite a ceasefire being in place. At least eight Palestinians were killed, Gaza health authorities said. Israel’s military said the strikes targeted militants who it alleged had fired on its soldiers.
