State Rep. James Talarico has won the Texas Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, according to a projection from The Associated Press, putting a moderate newcomer on the November ballot as the party looks to flip the seat.  Joe Scarborough reacts to Talarico’s win, and his explosion "onto the national stage," setting up what could become one of the marquee Senate races of the year.

Additionally, the Texas Republican primary between John Cornyn and Ken Paxton will head to a runoff as neither candidate is projected to get more than 50 percent of the vote.
