From Global News.
On Tuesday, a plane crash killed at least eight people, including the Libyan army’s chief of staff, Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad, after taking off from Turkey’s capital, Ankara.
The cause of the crash is currently unclear; however, radio contact was lost shortly after takeoff, and the pilot made an unsuccessful request for an emergency landing.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in a speech said, “I also extend my condolences to the brotherly Libyan people, the Libyan armed forces, and the government. On behalf of my country and my nation, I offer my deepest sympathies.”
