Survivors pay tribute to those who died in the Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp at the 81st anniversary of the camp’s liberation in the closing months of World War Two in 1945. According to estimates, some 2 million people, mostly Jews, were murdered in the camp in the Holocaust.
