U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has commented that the U.S. must overtake Canada when it comes to vehicle manufacturing.

And multiple sources tell Global News that Lutnick is taking an increasingly aggressive stance on the auto industry – putting Ontario’s car manufacturers on high alert.

Lutnick reportedly suggested Canada should take a U.S.-first, Canada-second policy when it comes to manufacturing cars.
