French President Emmanuel Macron arrives in Cyprus around midday, welcomed by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides on the tarmac at Paphos airport, in the south-west of the island, before holding talks with the Cypriot and Greek leaders to discuss strengthening security in the region, amid a sharp escalation of the war in Iran and soaring oil prices.
