From USA TODAY.
A 7-ton meteor streaked over Ohio causing a sonic boom that made houses shake and dogs bark.
NASA said a “very bright daylight fireball” was first visible shortly before 9 a.m. March 17. The asteroid, which was about 6 feet in diameter, flew southeast through the atmosphere at about 45,000 mph before breaking apart over Valley City.
Fragments from that explosion continued south, with some parts potentially landing in the vicinity of Medina County, areas near where residents reported hearing and feeling the boom.
