Skiing legend Mikaela Shiffrin joins TODAY to celebrate her gold medal on the women’s slalom at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics for Team USA. Shiffrin shares how before her run, she reflected on the loss of her father and took time to talk to him. “I thought ‘What the heck maybe it’s OK if you talk to him even if you don’t hear him respond in the normal way,’” she said. She also jokes about how the team rewarded her with espresso martinis.
