From Inside Edition.
A man spotted something in a river in northwest Missouri. The man found a giant leg bone of a Columbian mammoth, a relative of the better known woolly mammoth that roamed Missouri more than 10,000 years ago. Hauling the massive object to shore, Jason Howery could not believe it. Howery says the bone is the discovery of his lifetime. He spoke to Inside Edition’s Les Trent.
Howery set up a GoFundMe to support the documentation and preservation of the discovery. For further information about the GoFundMe, click this link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/preserve-a-mammoth-discovery-inspire-scientists
