Abidjan residents weigh in on the eve of Ivory Coast’s presidential elections, with some expressing full support for President Alassane Ouattara’s bid for a fourth term, while others voice discontent over the lack of opposition at the polls. Two opposition candidates were eliminated for acquiring French citizenship and a criminal conviction. Ouattara has wielded power in the world’s top cocoa producer since 2011, when the country began reasserting itself as a west African economic powerhouse.
