At least 1,500 people have died in Southeast Asia after monsoon rains and two tropical storms brought record deluges to in Sri Lanka, as well as parts of Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
Hundreds more are still missing as authorities struggle to reach survivors in remote, cut-off regions.
