Heavy snow scrambled the Winter Olympics schedule in the Italian town of Livigno as organizers postponed the women’s snowboard slopestyle medal event and the start of the freestyle aerials.

Officials decided it was too dangerous to hold the qualifying round for women’s aerials under steady snowfall, which could limit visibility and impact speed on the steep jump at the snow park.

“When in Rome,” a fan said. While some were disappointed by the change in weather, others took advantage of the winter atmosphere as an opportunity to tuck into some Italian food.
