At the end of World War II, a small unit of American soldiers was checking bridges in Austria when they came upon a concentration camp almost by accident. One of the liberating soldiers was a 22-year-old medic from Illinois named LeRoy Petersohn. His job was to triage which inmates could be helped. #wwiihistory #worldwar2
