From Global News.
There will be an urgent meeting in Ottawa on Tuesday where federal officials are summoning OpenAI executives, demanding answers from the company.
The move follows revelations that the accused in the Tumbler Ridge mass shooting had their account flagged and banned in June 2025 after violent interactions.
According to the Wall Street Journal, staff wanted to go forward to the police, but the decision was made not to alert the authorities.
B.C. Premier David Eby said, “From the outside, it looks like OpenAI had the opportunity to prevent this tragedy.”
Global’s Aaron McArthur reports.
