Images show Sean Penn, who won an Oscar for best supporting actor for his role in "One Battle After Another" at the 98th Academy Awards on 15 March, is in Ukraine to show support for the war-torn country. Penn is a vocal advocate for Ukraine, having co-directed a 2023 documentary about Volodymyr Zelensky and previously called for the West to stand with its embattled ally, including a joint plea with rock star Bono at the 2025 Cannes film festival.
