Coast-to-coast nurses are expressing outrage after they are no longer being considered a "profession." It all has to go with how the One Big Beautiful Bill changes the nation’s student loan program. By not being classified as professionals, nurses are limited on how much money they can borrow to pursue their graduate degree. The cap is at $100,000. The concern is that this could lead to an even greater nursing shortage.
