Park Service dismantles slavery exhibit in Philadelphia

From NPR.

Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park has taken down an exhibit on slavery, in line with President Trump’s executive order calling for “restoring truth and sanity to American history.”

NPR recently reported that the National Park Service was ordered to remove any books from its museums or gift shops that cast America in a negative light, which could include stories about slavery. Many people, including historians, say they’re concerned the administration is attempting to reframe U.S. history by erasing the worst parts of it.
