British police arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on Feb. 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public life, according to multiple news outlets in the United Kingdom. The former prince has faced intense scrutiny over his friendship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide in May 2025, settled a lawsuit in 2022 in which she accused the former royal of sexually abusing her as a teenager at Epstein’s mansion in New York and on his private island, Little St. James.
