U.S. President Donald Trump is shaking up the leadership in charge of his immigration crackdown in Minnesota, replacing U.S. Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino with his border czar, Tom Homan.

It’s one of a few signs of de-escalation following a phone call between Trump and state governor Tim Walz. Still, that didn’t stop protestors wielding pots, pans and other noise makers from clashing with police outside a hotel believed to be housing Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) agents on Monday evening.
