Democrats are still trying to figure out their party’s future after losing the 2024 presidential election, spurring a call for new and younger leadership. Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) announced his bid for Senate, challenging 79-year-old Sen. Ed Markey. Part of what he says separates him from Markey: “I’m not going to vote for Sen. Schumer to be the leader of our party in the Senate. We need new leaders.”
