Russia launched 50 missiles and 297 drones in overnight attacks against Ukraine, Ukraine’s air force said in a post on the Telegram messaging app on Sunday.

At least one person was killed and five were injured in the Kyiv region, with damage reported across five districts where more than a dozen houses were hit, Regional Governor Mykola Kalashnyk said on Telegram.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that Moscow "continues to invest in strikes more than in diplomacy".

There was no immediate comment from Russia.
