AFP boarded one of two OceanX submersibles which are searching for new species and plastic-eating microbes in the deep sea off the coast of Indonesia.
OceanX is a non-profit backed by billionaire Ray Dalio and his son, and it brings scientists onto its OceanXplorer ship to study marine life that most people will never see.
