From DW News.
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has responded to mounting pressure over a controversial second strike on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean.
Hegseth blamed the "fog of war" that prevented him from seeing any survivors in the water when the strike was ordered. The White House maintains the decision – which it says was made by a Navy admiral – was lawful. But legal experts warn the US military could have committed a crime if survivors were deliberately targeted. US lawmakers will investigate the attack.
