Seniors being targeted in distraction thefts, police say

Police around Metro Vancouver are issuing a new warning about a spike in distraction thefts targeting seniors.

The Surrey Police Service says it investigated 50 individual cases last year and several already this year.

As Global’s Grace Ke reports, the crimes are all similar in pattern, with thieves eyeing up people walking by themselves.
