A Calgary woman is desperately looking for any tips as to where her younger sister may be after she disappeared six months ago.

Deeanna Erickson was last seen in the community of Walden, Alta. after taking the wrong bus – heading 11 kilometres in the opposite direction – on June 6, 2025.

Just before Christmas, Shelby Erickson – deep in the search for her sister – was contacted via social media from someone trying to extort money demanding a ransom after sending an AI-generated photo of what looks to be Deeanna tied up in a van.
