Taiwan Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung said on October 28 that the relationship between Taiwan and the United States is "stable" and that there is "close cooperation" between the two sides, in remarks made ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s upcoming meeting this week with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea.
