Thailand’s ruling party is preparing for coalition talks after a big win in an election that has seen Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul consolidate his grip on power. With almost all votes counted, his conservative Bhumjaithai party has claimed a stronger-than-expected victory, riding a wave of nationalism, with promises to build a wall along Thailand’s border with Cambodia and to strengthen the military.
