Thousands march in Minneapolis against ICE after fatal shootings

From Global News.

Thousands of protesters marched in Minneapolis on Jan. 30 and Jan. 31 against an expanded federal immigration enforcement operation in the city.

The demonstrations followed immigration raids that detained multiple students and civilians, as well as the fatal shootings of U.S. citizens Alex Pretti and Renee Good by federal immigration agents.

Protesters condemned the scale and tactics of the enforcement surge, which has brought thousands of federal officers into Minneapolis.

The Trump administration has defended the operation as necessary to enforce immigration laws, while critics say it has caused fear and harm in the community.
