The California State Supreme Court ruled this month that prisoners serving time under the state’s three strikes law can seek a reduction of their sentences. For years, the Three Strikes Project has been working on behalf of three strikes prisoners, many serving long sentences for nonviolent crimes, to have a future outside the criminal justice system.
