Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was asked Thursday if he had made a bet with U.S. President Donald Trump over who will win this year’s World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays facing the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"I think he’s afraid to make a bet. He doesn’t like to lose. He hasn’t called, he hasn’t returned my call," Carney said with a grin as he visited the Toronto Blue Jays practice Thursday at the Rogers Centre.

The Blue Jays are set to host the Dodgers Friday night in the franchises first trip to the World Series in 32 years.
