U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order at the White House that declares fentanyl a “weapon of mass destruction.”

“No bomb does what this is doing. Two to three hundred thousand people die every year that we know of. So we’re formally classifying fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction," the president stated.

Trump also called Colorado Gov. Jared Polis a “weak and pathetic man” who he claimed is run by the Venezuelan crime syndicate, Tren de Aragua.
The U.S. seized 1.7 million Fentanyl pills in the state of Colorado last month, Trump said.
