President Donald Trump says on Truth Social that ties between the United States and China are "extremely good," following what he calls an "excellent" phone call with counterpart Xi Jinping. "The relationship with China, and my personal relationship with President Xi, is an extremely good one, and we both realize how important it is to keep it that way," Trump posts on his platform.
