Trump: U.S. action in Colombia ‘sounds good to me’

From PBS NewsHour.

President Donald Trump suggested Sunday that the U.S. could take military action against Colombia’s government. "Colombia is very sick, too, run by a sick man, who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States, and he’s not going to be doing it very long," Trump told reporters on Air Force One.

Asked if there will be a U.S. operation against the country, Trump said, "Sounds good to me."

Trump’s comments came one day after the U.S. military captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and brought him to New York to face narco-terrorism charges. Maduro and his wife appeared before a judge on Monday and pleaded not guilty to federal drug trafficking charges.
